Terms of Service
Zuletzt aktualisiert: 20 July 2026
These terms govern your use of PrepDaF. By using the service you accept them, along with our Privacy Policy.
PrepDaF is run by PrepDaF LLC, Newark, Delaware, United States.
1. We are independent
PrepDaF is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to telc gGmbH, the Goethe-Institut, the TestDaF-Institut, or their examination boards. "Goethe", "telc" and "TestDaF" belong to their owners. We name them only to say which exams our material prepares you for.
Our practice material is original and modelled on publicly available exam structures. Passing our practice modules does not guarantee any result on a real exam. We do not issue certificates and we do not report scores to any examination body.
2. Who can use PrepDaF
You need to be at least 16 — or older, if your country sets a higher age for digital consent. We cannot verify age, and in anonymous practice sessions we cannot check it at all.
If your child has used PrepDaF without your consent, email contact@prepdaf.com and we will close the account and delete the data.
3. Your account
Keep your login details to yourself. Anything done through your account is your responsibility.
Please do not:
- use PrepDaF for anything unlawful;
- scrape, copy, reverse-engineer or redistribute our practice material, question banks or code;
- work around our security or age restrictions;
- access the service with bots, scripts or unofficial clients.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
4. Paid features
Some features are free, others may be paid. If we introduce paid plans, we will show you the price, the billing cycle, how to cancel, and your statutory refund rights before you pay. Payments are handled by established payment providers, not by us directly.
5. Your content and ours
What you write and record stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and transmit it for one purpose only: running the service and generating your feedback.
We do not use your content to train AI models — not ours, not anyone else's.
Voice recordings are kept only while we process them and are deleted automatically once your feedback has been generated.
Everything we built — the practice questions, the software, the design, our name and logo — stays ours.
6. What AI feedback is, and what it isn't
PrepDaF is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be either.
Scores and feedback are generated by AI. They can be wrong, inconsistent, or miss something. They do not predict your result on a real exam, and they are not a certificate or a qualification. Decisions you take based on them — booking an exam, skipping preparation — are yours.
7. Our liability
Some kinds of liability cannot be limited by contract, and we do not try to: we are fully liable for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body or health.
Otherwise our liability is limited to loss that is foreseeable and typical for a service like this, and capped at what you paid us in the three months before the claim — zero if you use PrepDaF for free.
8. If you cause us a problem
If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used PrepDaF, what you posted, or because you broke these terms, you cover the resulting costs.
9. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Delaware, United States. If you are a consumer, this does not affect the protection your home country's law gives you, or your right to bring a case before the courts where you live.
