Which exam should I pick: Goethe, telc, or TestDaF?

Studying at a German university? TestDaF or Goethe C1 — TestDaF preparation is still in development, so Goethe C1 is the closest we cover today. Working in Germany or the EU? telc. Need a globally recognised certificate or a CV line? Goethe. We'll also recommend one after the diagnostic.

How long do I need to prepare?

Most learners go from B1 → B2 in about 12 weeks with ~25 minutes a day. C1 takes longer — plan for 16-20 weeks. The app adjusts your plan automatically based on your diagnostic and pace.

Which exams and levels does prepdaf cover?

Accepted Answer

Goethe-Zertifikat A1 to C1 is fully covered — Lesen, Hören, Schreiben and Sprechen at every level. telc Deutsch is covered at A2, B1 and B2, including Sprachbausteine at B1 and B2. TestDaF and Goethe-Zertifikat C2 are in development — join the waitlist from your dashboard.
